Im not really that well versed in our history of Presidents, I'm curious if you or anyone else here knows when the last president was that led the way you are describing. The last group of Rep, well most of them where just a bunch of spend happy moderates(including our lame Pres).
Our Gov needs to be stripped down to its bare minimum and start from there, if we did that we'd realise they are already getting way to much of our $$ and sure as hell dont deserve more to waist, But we get rid of wastefull spenders and replace them with even BIGGER spenders,
Reagan would have but he had to rebuild our military and to get his way he had to give the dems some of their spending they wanted which ended up being $1.25 for every $1.00 of revenue generated by his tax cuts.

Like it has been said...Iraq. 10 billion per month is a little ridiculous. I agree with not bailing out all businesses. The AIG thing was pretty sad! IMO they should let GM file bankruptcy which will allow GM to get out of all the labor union contracts, pension plans, and bad contracts that have been killing them for years.
