Im with you, im not thrilled about Obama, but another Bush type of term wouldve been extremely painful I think.i really think mccain would be bush all over again and i am def way worse off than i was 4 or even 8 years ago. just think a change would do some good, god i hope anyway.

As far as the wealthy go, making over 250k/year according to Obama, i'm surprised he has so much backing from them. That's who he's going to hammer with taxes, right? Or, once you're making good money, can your CPA lower your effective rate so that it doesn't matter????

Somebody who is making 250K+ is able to leverage their income by offsetting it with tax breaks that someone who makes 50K/year would not have. Somebody making 250k is going to have either a business of their own, a shell corporation, properties, etc....of some type that allows them to use tax incentives that a middle class american cannot leverage. In the end, somebody making 50k/year with no home is going to pay a higher percentage in taxes than somebody making 250K/year.

i was a little hesitant on placing my vote for obama because of the way i think he will go on the 2nd amendment. you just have to go for the lesser of 2 evils on this one. i agree there will be some changes on the gun issue i just hope they are not TOO drastic.

There really are a lot more choices than 2, you know. By "not throwing your vote away" you throw it away. Firstly, by buying into that complete horseshit, you perpetuate the 2 party system. Secondly, for not voting your heart and your beliefs and voting for someone you honestly believe to believe to be garbage, you're throwing your vote away more than you could in any other sense....

Im not a democrat and I did not vote for Obama, but I will say that it is a myth that they want to take away our 2nd amendment rights. Its not that they want to ban guns, they want to restrict certain types of guns. Im not saying that I agree with that, I'm just clarifying because people love to automatically act like they want to ban guns all together.

.Its not so much fools never learn(some dont) but most aren't old enough to remember or weren't around yet. Gun control groups and other extremist are very patient and are happy getting little bits at a time and most dont even realise it.........11

Shouldn't it be here, in wonderful America, where if we want something...the land of dreams...we should be able to work hard and get it...why does the gov't step all over us? Not just guns...I'm by no means a gun guy at all...but that is a hobby for someone, like how roids are a hobby for us.
