Ummm...ok. If there are certain guns they want to ban, but you can still have other rifles and hand guns, that isnt taking away the 2nd amendment rights all together.

Dems in the past have been high on banning assault weapons. Doesn't affect me, I already have enough of them.

unless you have a full auto weapon you do not have an assault rifle, you have semi-auto rifles that look like assault weapons.

a little at a time until all the rights of the people to arm them selves are gone is how the game is played. if you want to own an ak47 semi-auto to protect your family and property you damned well ought to be able to purchase that rifle, and you should have the right to own the 30 round mag to have enough fire power to do the job correctly. this "team" that comrade obama is putting together are the greatest threat you and i have seen to constitution as we have known it in our life time, i'm scared for my children's sake, they i fear will not know the freedoms we have enjoyed to this point of our lives. the last twenty years have taken a great toll on our liberties, and it is a snowball i think that is just getting rolling. i hope and pray i am wrong, but recent history (the last 75 years) has put a strangle hold of "laws" on our society to the point we have very little freedom left.

How do you know that is how the game is played when it never has happened. There is way too much money in guns and way too many wealthy people that like to own them. As far as you saying we have very little freedom left, can you give me some examples of what freedoms have been taken away, especially pointing to the fact that we have very little left.

a citizen could own a full auto until i think 1933 (might be wrong on the year, but it's close) how about the clinton crime family gun ban (thank god it had a sunset clause) where they outlawed high cap mags and so called assault rifles. that is just two examples Billet5, you are a smart man so i believe you can think of more examples of the chiseling of small amounts of second amendment rights if you try. in russia to this day one can only own a smooth bore long gun and it is supposed to be dismantled and or locked up...great huh? i can not direct you to where i read that info, it was an article i read a few years ago. i don't want our society to reflect theirs, do you?

Ammunition Accountability Legislation
The bill that is being pushed in 18 states (including
Illinois and Indiana ) requires all ammunition to be
encoded by the manufacture a data base of all ammunition
sales. So they will know how much you buy and what
calibers.
Nobody can sell any ammunition after June 30, 2009 unless
the ammunition is coded.
Any privately held uncoded ammunition must be destroyed
by
July 1, 2011. (Including hand loaded ammo.) They will
also
charge a .05 cent tax on every round so every box of ammo
you buy will go up at least $2.50 or more!
If they can deprive you of ammo they do not need to take
your gun!
This legislation is currently pending in 18 states:
Alabama, Arizona, California, Connecticut, Hawaii,
Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Maryland, Mississippi,
Missouri, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode
Island,
South Carolina, Tennessee, and Washington.

i was speaking about we the general public when referring to the law forbidding the ownership of full autos. you have to jump through hoops to get an ffl. you know they don't just hand em out.
