I have lots of practice. ;) Plus, no matter how fucked up I have ever been, I have never lost my ability to grasp reality. Kind of ruins acid trips sometimes.... LOL

You reckon? LMFAO!

You fat fuck! You were making more sense on the boards than most elders when you were only 20 years old. One of the few people 10 years my younger that I look up to. The bad part is your only 30 now but think like a 50 year old and it hit your right between the eyes that being old bites the big one.:p

If things work out is Bonnaroo still a possibility?

Nah, we'll be ok, not because of him, just because we will. I believe so anyway, I told my wife.....what's the point of living in doom and gloom, I spent a lot of years getting out of the negative thinking. Do my part, support my family, and keep my chin up.

Mutant, if all it was for you is going 90k-60k then that's nothing, I lost a lot more than that :(.

Having said that, I actually kept buying more stock as prices went down. I firmly believe that this is what they call the fortune-making time. As long as you don't buy in some shaky company, you should be fine. Any company that survives this crisis will give so much back to its investors who invest in these times.

For me it was alot of money, but not alot compared to others. :(

I kept all my money in the mutual funds for that reason. I know they will bounce up and hopefully make me a happy man.

i told my wife six months ago i felt i should move my 401k out of stocks into a "safer" place. i knew the democrats were going to clean up this election cycle and the real money people sure don't like all the tax talk, they will take their money and play some where else....were all not going to like the trickle down that is going to take place in the next few years. she talked me out of it, hmmmm now if i kick the bucket at what i consider to be an untimely demise she will not be a wealthy woman. gosh! she won't have to much to spend on her new boy friend now that i listened to her.:D atleast i did not loose it all, i have 30% in bonds and such.

yeah, i was kinda kidding about the "we're doomed" stuff. i will have a job as long as i can keep my spine half ways healthy. the government will see to it, hell i'm the second most important person in a welfare scumbags life.....the first is the mailman bringing the "check" every month!:D

Yep. I remember one time I was on 4 or 5 hits of acid and I had to pick up my sister from her friend's house. I turned a corner and the directions fell out of my lap and "disappeared". I started freaking out and then I said to myself, "hold on dude. You're on drugs. The directions didn't go anywhere and just disappear. They're still in the car somewhere. Chill out and you'll find them"

I did and that was that. But it was kind of more fun when I thought they magically disappeared. LOL

You know what I'm going to do? I'm going to buy into the company that makes Wonder Bread and Twinkies.

I was researching them because I was going to cold call them and try and get some business, when I looked at their stock prices and was flabbergasted! If I read it right, they're selling at around 10 cents a share.

I don't have a lot of money, but I'll take all that I have and put it in that company! There is NO WAY, just no fucking way!, that Twinkies will ever disappear. You know? That's Americana, dude! They ain't going anywhere. I think it's a very safe bet.

Interestingly, did you know that Wonder Bread was the first bread to come pre-sliced? Yep. In, like, 1938 it was Wonder Bread who caused the phrase "it's the best thing since sliced bread."

I was going to pull all my money out about a year ago. It had not dramatically dropped yet at that time. My dad was the one that told me to leave it in there, and that it will be fine. Now 1/3 of it is gone, and I expect it to drop more. Thanks dad...i could have pulled the money out at that time, and come back and invested it in the cheap stocks now....then eventually make a fortune.

Oh well, I wont be listening to my dad again.

I have 10$ if you need to borrow it?:D

That's probably a good idea. I know a lot of the people I work with eat that everyday for lunch.
