OK what don't you guys get... You can't boycot the gas companies... The only way would be to blow them all up, then I wouldn't be able to get gas... meaning I wouldn't be able to work... meaning I'm out of a job.... meaning I now collect welfare but with out gas I can't go get my check... in the end I die while big billionaire oil sits on a beach somewhere retiring...... hmmmm sounds like a good plan....


All we can do is sit here and bitch and wine about how shitty it is.... fuck if groceries keep going up right now I will have to get a 3rd job.....

Well yeah... But it would be a ton of money lost by the big oil companies if people did make a stand like that. At best the oil companies may drop the price like 25cents per gallon.

You people that think these oil companies aren't controlling prices are confused and mislead. There is no way you can tell me that demand has continued to rise over the last 6 months. Everywhere you go around here you see boats/RV's and anything else that costs too much to enjoy being put up for sale. Old half junk Geo Metros are going for a premium because so many people are parking their pick ups and SUV's and getting something more economical.

These companies can say anything they want about low supplies and investors will gobble up oil and gas contracts like crazy. And the special interest and "funds" buyers (a large group of EXTREMELY wealthy investors) can sway the market at any time with the amount of money they have.

It goes something like this: Pawn at MSNBC reports that gas refineries might not be able to keep up with demand (they report this because that is what they were told to report, not because it's factual). "Funds" buyers purchase a very large amount of contracts with makes other investors think the news must be true, so they buy some too and the price climbs higher and higher. These greedy bastards are making more money than anyone could spend in a life time with complete disregard for the rest of the world.

It is in the US's interest to all those dollars are taken away from China, and it is in the oil countries' interest to get more profit from their oil.
