There are some pretty sweet deals on SUV's right now. Z71 tahoes to be exact. The gas doesn't bother me too much, it's the rest of the economy that's got me scared shitless. Afraid to make a big purchase...

He worked 2-3 jobs when he and my mom got married. My first job was at Wendy's at 15. Also, did manual labor and joined the Army National Guard when I was 19. Yes, I'm doing well now at 40 but I sacrificied a lot and worked hard to get where I am. Born with a silver spoon - not even close.

Oh, and that gas station you want to STEAL from is possibly independently owned by someone in your neighborhood and not one of the big oil companies who by the way don't set oil prices.

Not to group the newbie here, but brotha...alot of us have not come froma silver spoon. Most of us here are living check to check - with a lil in the bank. Take peaches for instance. I believe he is doing 2 jobs. So is Yoda, the guy you are complaining about.

The new 08 and 09 FORD F-150/F-250 have great deals here as well. DODGE is doing this $2.99 gas thing for 2 years on all Diesel trucks...it's not that bad of a time for car companys, it's just if you can't afford that gas, then your fucked

My understanding is that the guy buying gets a small business loan or something similar and pays the existing owner more than the place is worth. The new owner then starts grooming his successor, usually a close friend or family member that's only been in the states for a couple years. Or maybe the taxes are deferred and they sell before the IRS can collect????

Yep that is exactly it!!! & its always the "Haji's" every partystore & gas station in my city is like that!! 2008 mercedes out front with osama driving it.
Wife is in a range rover with everypart of her body covered but her face.

i had to pay $4.06 yesterday to fill my company issued vehicle, $98 for 24.? gals. it was only a matter of time before fuel prices caught up with everything else though. $5 for a gal of milk, christ 5lbs of protein cost me $36 at BJ's couple weeks ago. inflation has taken it's toll every where, so it should not surprise us that the cost of fuel has also gone up. i only drive when i have to now, it is the only way as a piss ant that i can protest. when the American consumer stops buying the whole world will go into recession, then OPEC can drown in their black gold.

How do you propose we do that? Pass a law on profits? Restrict pricing? What do you drive? That 4wheeler you like? Yeah, no purpose except to burn gas. If you want it, then you have to pay what he who has it wants to charge. That's the way it works.

That may be possible, who knows... I did sales for Red Bull years ago between layoffs. One of our National managers explained how the cycle worked but I don't remember. It wasn't anything we couldn't do, he made it sould like it's a continual cycle of screwing the next buyer of the place over. The guys here work a shit ton of hours and i've never seen anything other than Toyota Camrys in the parking lots. I really don't think there is much money until you unload the place. 75% of the guys were cool as hell. The other 25% are the reason I was transferred to the warehouse until I quit....
