This is a young Kentucky Woman who passed away after multiple organ failure. She supposedly took a normal dose of Tylenol when sick and dehydrated. Liver shut down and the rest was history....... Condolences to the family.......

Hmmmm...seems unlikely that a single, normal dose caused her demise. What illness did she have prior to or while taking the tylenol?

Reason I question it is because when I was recovering from both back surgeries, I was taking vicodin and 800mg ibuprofin every six (6) hours, a statin drug every night, valium, flexeril, and Xanax. I had a complete blood test and my liver enzymes were only like 2 or 3 points over the top of the range.

This was an unlikely result of taking Tylenol. Should have a strong Products Liability lawsuit.

The young woman I posted about was at home, suffering from Flu like symptoms. She presented to the ER with Liver failure. She was not properly hydrated.

Death is an unlikely result of taking Tylenol. We've all had toxic substances in our bodies and not suffered this result. How many of us should be dead or seriously f****d up? Count me in.......

It was allot longer than 15 years ago. It was probably more like 25 years ago. I was 10 or so. Some fucker was tampering with the Tylenol and adding Cyanide to it. Allot of people died from the poison.

That , in large part , singly brought about the tamper proof caps.

I remember watching this all go down on the news. It nearly killed Tylenol's business.

The CEO of McNeil (Tylenol) used pure genious in the way he directed his company to handle this product tampering issue. In fact, his strategy is considered the "model" for handling product tampering issues and recalls.

He was able to bring Tylenol back to the "standard" of pain relief medicine in a relatively short period of time and regained public trust.

Did you mean to use the work "likely" instead of "unlikely" in your response? It makes no sense to me what you are saying if not.

Very unfortunate. Yet you dont see this shit all over the news. If gear were involved it would have been EVERYWHERE.

The shit we should be concened with in this country is the stuff that tends to be ignored.
