Wife update

Hey MU. just thought Id update you on the wife. She had what we hope is her final surgery on Monday. They repaired the structure around and inside(floor) of her eye orbit and then repaired her nose, funny thing is the eye surgery was only 1.5hrs and her nose was 4.5. 6hrs of total surgery. She spent last night in the hosp and I stayed in the room with her, we are home now.
You can already see a big difference in her eye. She will have a splint on her nose for a couple wks but both surgeons were very happy with the results. There is no hope for vision in her eye at this point it was all reconstructive.
She is doing very well and has handled this better than I think I could have.
Its been a very long yr and I want to thank you all for the prayers and support. Now we can look forward. Thx....................11

Glad things are looking up for ya buddy. I just talked with Rambo and he has to go back for surgery tomorrow. You may want to give him a call because he said that he is not posting because he dont want to be in a pity party . I told him its not like that at all and if he was not liked and respected that nobody would give a shit.


Tell the misses that we all wish her the best and also ask her,,, I want to know how she puts up with your onery ass 24/7.

Eleven11, I think you guy's are the most amazing people on this planet. How many people would really stick by their sides and not FREAk out on each other with everything that you have been through. I think of you alot and your wife even more....hopefully, one day...all will be cosmetically back to normal and you guys can live a happy and loving life again!

Thanks guys, Ian we'll be married 22yrs in July and have been together since '80.
She's pretty amasing, She's layed back and NEVER nags or bitches. We just flat out get along and like being together, simple as that.
We've tried to look at the positive side best we can I mean we are still here and not in wheel chairs for life and Im already brain damaged so that was never a concern. As bad as it was it could've been ALOT worse.............11

Eleven, I'm glad to hear that the surgeries for her are over. You two deserve to have that part of the recovery behind you. I gotta admit, hearing what you guys have gone through makes me put some of my minor day to day problems in perspective.

wife doing a little better. she got her "packing" out of her nose on Thursday so she can sleep much better, hard to sleep when you can't breath thru your nose and wake up every 15min and need a drink. She's already lost her blackeyes and swelling is down, but her eye is causing her a lot of discomfort. Its hard seeing her like this..............11

A friend of mine was a kickboxer,, he had to have nasal surgery from all the blows he took,, said the worst part was the packing they had in his nose,, said it was awful, happy she has that out.. Man,, I admire the hell out of you and your wife for being together this long,, its amazing in this day and age.
