What's Your Method?

Hey all,

I was just wondering what all your guys' method is of training? I have been doing the pyramid reps workout (10-8-6-4) for a while now...and don't get me wrong it helped me get really good and strong, but is there another program maybe you guys' know about that would help me out and get out of this slump!

Sorry bro...I do pretty much the same thing. But I do a warm up set before every exercise and I do a burnout set at the end.

warm up light set 20 reps for each muscle group around 30% of weight used for the first heavy set. Then I do example monday chest- bp-3 sets of 6 reps- incline 2 sets of 10 reps- dumbell flys 1 set of 20 reps- bi's- bar curls 3 sets 6 reps dumbell curls 2 sets 10 reps- ez bar curls 1 set 20 reps tuesday legs 1 set of 20 warm up - 3 sets of 6 - 2 sets of 10 - 1 set of 20 wed off.thursday shoulders and tris- friday back and calves- sat and sun off. each muscle group is trained with a total of six sets, these sets are split into six exercises first sets 1,2,3, targets the fast twitch fibers the weight used should only allow you to do 6 reps before failure, rest 5 minutes between each of these sets move on to next exercise for sets 4-5 for intermediate fibers select a weight you can get 10 times without assistance failure should occur after tenth rep 3 minutes should be taken between sets 4-5 and move on to set 6 20 reps promotes growth of slow twitch, after set 6 take ten minutes before moving on to the next muscle group.
to sum it up working like this targets fast twich fibers- intermediate fibers- slow twitch fibers, lmk any ?'s you have.

5 sets of 5 reps? WOW....I don't think I would get very big on lifting that, no?

5x5 helps me better with mass over cut. I will do a pyramid one week and 5x5 the next week.

What I focus most on is total control and try and bring the weight down slow and not bounce it off my chest on bench. Also on bicep curls I sometimes go down in weight and do 6 seconds per arma (3 seconds up, 3 seconds back down) 1001, 1002 1003 etc...

I personally would rather lift with good form and lighter weight than shitty form and heavy weight,,, but thats just my opinion.

I'm going to hang you in a tree! That is NOT 5X5 training!

Yes I know but I was lazy and didnt want to type 5 reps for 5 sets.:p
Since the topic is on bench I thought I could get a free pass on that.

ALSO, something I would like to touch on is decline bench. Your one of the few over the years that has agreed with me that it does produce good results.
Many others say its useless and a waste of time,,, but if done right I have seen great improvements from it personally.

Make a re-post on decline bench if you dont care...
