New Bike

Well I finally did it. '08 HD Fatboy. Bought it yesterday and rode it last night and took it back today so they could put on all the extras.
I was more nervous buying it than riding it. I guess the reality of actually buying it was strange...............11

Not really returning it, just took it back so they could put the additional parts and accessories on it. Ill go pick it back up later, they didn't have time yesterday and I really wanted to ride it...............11

Good for you 11. After everything you have been through, the fact that you still get back on the horse is amazing!

lucky you, congrats 11, i'm sooooooo jealous!!!!! cause i'm an old fart with young kids. i look across the table and think.....hey there's my new harley. i had to quit riding when i used to drink, cause i kept getting to much road rash. tomorrow will be 20 years since i had a drink, and i just can't tell ya how much i would like to ride again.....oh well, some day! i had to do a job at a custom bike shop last week and i just kept looking at the frames waiting for a buyer like a little kid staring at the christmas tree on xmas eve. i couldn't finish that job fast enough so i would stop torturing my self. :( :confused:

Awesome looking bike 11!

Me and the old lady were just talking about getting another bike someday. But just like juaneye, with teenage kids in the house and a new house going up, there is no way in hell we could afford one right now.

Something to look forward too though.

Also you gona ride it cross country this summer?

thick its mostly the old shovel heads that leak oil real bad, most of the newer HD's are made with more jap parts so there more dependable.:rolleyes:

I miss my F-150 HD version...not a big bike fan...but goooooooood God that F-150 was gorgeous and gave me a new outlook on HD brand....even HD bikers waved as I passed in it ;)

I dont know what you did before 11, but if you lower it, go with progressive lowering shocks. It keeps a nicer ride. Thats a nice bike. Hope you vance and hines are loud, I think the short ones are. They definitely keep you more safe as I am sure you already know. I run a thunderheader 2 into 1 on both of my bikes. Have fun!

Thanks guys. 1I and THL hopefully you won't have to wait to long but I did the same thing when my girl was little I spent on her so now its my turn ;) . Its been a yr and I really did miss it, I don't miss crashing but....
The V&H pipes are short and load :) don't think I'll lower it but 1 more inch would be nice. I got most of my extras on today, grips, detachable backrest, highway bars and the frnt/back footrest, engine lights, will be put on when my pipes come in.
FTW if I come back this yr it will be in the back of my truck because Ill be pulling a camper and probably hit Sturgis on the way back home, I did that in 06 and it was a blast. AZ bike wk is going on now and parties/bikes everywhere................11
