Just Got back from the Movie..ugh

I went to the movie theater a couple blocks away from my house to see I am Legend. The movie was ok. Let me preface this by saying I live in a major city, kind of ghetto area where the theater is. Oh my god I cannot stand it anymore. I am becoming quite a bigot lately. I try to tell myself not to act and feel this way but its almost unbearable here. People in the theater just sit there fuck with there phone talk on it and and loud obnoxious phone conversations. Its ridiculous good people cant do anything anymore without pieces of shit ruining it. The people in this city are animals, they cant do anything in public without acting like complete derelicts. You try to be polite and ask them to stop and they just shit on you. The only thing they know is force and acting just like them. Its sickening. I truly think I need to move somewhere else, im tired of the bullshit and being called honky, cracker, whiteboy, etc. People say all you fucking white people are this that and the other its so annoying. Its not the names that I care about its the bullshit double standard that if I say something back Im in the wrong and Im a blatant racist. Fucking Al Sharpton would probably show up at my place of business. Its sad that I feel this way now, I was not raised this way nor ever act this way before. Its truly sad

It was an ok movie I thought. We went and saw it christmas eve. Time flew by really quick, before we knew it the movie was over. I had some questions and wish they flashed back more on how the city digressed so bad.

We also went to see the Golden Compass in which I really enjoyed.

the wife and i went to a movie few months back and there were these thug wannabes sitting behind us.

answering their cell phones right in the middle of the movie, laughing at parts of the movie where it wasnt funny, and the big one, kept kicking the back of my wifes chair. she held it in, but i couldnt take it anymore, so right in the middle of the moive i stood up and turned around and grabbed the fucking kid by the shirt and told him to knock it off

now this was a KID, id say 16/17 or so, so i really wanted to punch a hole in his face and end his missearble life, but i knew better and so did my wife, she told me to stop and to let him go

the kid sat back down and kept talking shit for the next 15 mins. i took EVERYTHINGin me to not turn around and kill this kid.

what a punk, he knew i was older and bigger and wouldnt hurt him so he talked more shit!

after the movie was over as we were walking out of the theater, he kept saying shit about my wife, i stopped and turned around and just stared at him, i was gonna say fuck it, go to jail, just do it, but i didnt, i just stared, and he walked away still talking shit.

Sorry to hear they ruined the movie for you. I thought it was great.

I understand your frustration, but it is society in general. I live in a rural area between two 'big' (lol) cities. If you go to the one to the north, you can get exactly what you described. If you go to the one to the south however, it's the punk white skater type kids and it's just as bad.

The malls/theaters handle the situation fairly well around here. They just opened a new one in the city to the north. I told my wife there was no way in heck I'd go there; it's right in the middle of a trouble spot! But, I've had a few people tell me now that it is the best theater to go to and that the authorities are NOT playing around. Even before the previews start if you are seen talking on a cell phone you will be asked to turn it off once and once only. They place two security guards in each screen for the entire movie.

Well, not to gloat or anything, but +1 to the list of good things about living in the middle of nowhere.

That kinda stuff doesn't happen out here at all really. I only had something like that happen once at the end of Lord of the Rings, bunch of teenagers were laughing and stuff, kinda ruined it. Other than that, theatres out here are still quiet except for the occasional makeout sessions towards the back, and that's tolerable.

Me, my wife and the two (2) boys are going to the show to see I Am Legend in couple of hours. Here's a clue, I would have done everything that ! did, except......

If you don't hear from me later today, you know where I am..lol!

Thats one good thing about living in a small town..... most people are pretty good but its the young punks that think they know the law and realize that we can't touch them...... But I have chased a few fuckers... The trick is to chase them into traffic then its not you fault......

OK, I made it back alive, but poor Dr. Neville didn't;)

I liked that movie. It was just creepy enough for my tastes. Well, behaved audience.

I am legend, Men In black (1st one), Independance day, Bad Boys (all of them), Enenmy of the state, and Pursuit of Happiness

Bro I go to the movies to be entertained, to forget about stress in my day & have fun,,,, I like all types of movies.

& Steve I feel for you bro people today are shitboxes plain & simple.

I liked every Will Smith movie named in this thread. I'm like toyoda, I go to be entertained, I hate it when people see a movie and say stuff like, "That could never happen in real life." Of course not! It's a MOVIE!!:eek:
