Fair Act Policy, max downloads

Has anyone had any experience with the FAP, Its where some internet providers have a cap on how much you can download in a certain time frame(24hrs). I found out that my provider only allows 200mb in 24hrs, after that they throttle you down to around 10kbps. Thats a load of crap! 200mb aint shit. I looked at my usage and over the last month never came close except two time, and then the basically shut me down. I got on youtube and was watching some video clips, (anywhere form 5min to 12min clips) of Victor Martinez, I watched probally 7 or 8 clipps total and then my download speed went to shit, after calling my provider the explained this to me, my response was--how about all those days I didnt use 200mb. What a ripp, I'm looking for another provider........ Thats like saying pay your cable bill, but you can only watch tv for 4hrs.:mad: :mad:

It's exactly like that last comment you said...but people are stupid and pay for shit like this...I mean look at cell phone companies. Do the majority of people need 1,000+ mins...naw!? They may use 338 mins in a month - but the other 662 mins are wasted and paid for ;)

My service just sucks. I dont have a limit but it maxes out at 50 kbps when i am lucky. Sometimes is only 6-15. shady fuckers

I'm on cable and my downloads are about the same all the time. Noticably slower on weekends when everyone is home surfing or whatever but usually its about the same rate.

50kbs, what.... dial up is 56kbs, man its the the 2000's you do need to upgrade. well untill I can find a better provider this will have to do.

hmm well mine is DSL and i think it is 50 kbs. Yeah right now i am DL something and it is going 20 KB/Second. Normally it is 40-50. I think 51-53 is the highest i have seen on here IIRC

at a hotel on the laptop, the wireless there was letting me DL around 100 kb/s. No other providers around here though. Unless u get mediacom but they are fucking cocksuckers
