did it right

ok guys, this is your chance to brag without bragging

how many of you feel you have done it right. you maybe young, you could be old. you may have grown up with a silver spoon and some of you are self made succcess stories

how many of you feel that you have made wise decisions regarding money, investments, ect?

what i mean by this is, how many here have a nice home, drive nice cars, debt free and making a good living?

as previously mentioned, some of you may have been dirt poor before and dug yourself out and made a good life for you and your family, some of you may have been born into money and invested wisely, tell me your success stories

i am in my younger 30's. growing up my parents owned a few businesses, got screwed by their partners and lost everything. by the time i was in highschool i was in the lower portion of the monitary scale. i did do well in school, enough to get a scholarship and finished school.

worked hard for the past 10 years, saving money, while tryingtrying to pay off debt as well.

i just cant find that right path. i save and save, but the debt just doesnt seem to be getting any lower! im looking into other avenues to bring my debt down. i am just trying to do that so i can eventually open up my own business and become self employed.

i am trying to get shit straight before the wife and i try to have kids.

I will never have a business partner again.

The first one cost me $250,000.
We had a contract protected by the bankruptcy court.
He managed to fuck it up.

The second one I am suing right now.
The dumb fuck and his new partner is trying to evade being served. Like the court system has not figered out how to deal with that shit.
He emptied our bank account and even put it in writing that he did.
A dumb fuck.
Not sure what this one cost me but I a guessing around 100K at this point.
The fucker lied to me and our account. Just doing shady shit for a year.
Cant wait to see him in court.

was involved in the Navy SEAL program @ 25 got out because of my moms cancer, married highschool sweetheart turned into a cunt, went through divorce, lost my home my car & the 75k in debt she racked up in my bankO,
bankruptcy was the only thing I could do.
Now I have 0 debt, a nice truck, money in my pocket, 1 bill "cell phone" and I pay cash for everything now, shit I had a new gun on layaway yes! layaway!
picked it up yesterday took me 3 months to get it but hey its paid for.

If I could just land an awesome job that I enjoy I would be set,,, most people that think they are living the dream are misrable mother fukers...
Screw the "Jones" they suck anyway!!!

I left my parents' house with little more than the clothes on my back at 18 to go join Uncle Sam and his elite staff. I'm still a member but with different, more liberal freedoms. He pays me exactly what a fellow with 17 years of service should be paid. ;)

I am the proud owner of a small, veteran-owned business that, in my opinion, turns out some of the best BBQ in the state. Of course, there is better but I am very confident I am among the best.

I will soon be pursuing other interests all in the effort to make the lives of my children, my soon-to-be ex-wife, and myself more comfortable. I am not obsessed with being more than financially secure, I just want it. So, one day, I'll have it.

One thing about money is the more you make, the more you spend. You must be fiscally responsible now or you will only find yourself much more frustrated later when your income is greater. There is nothing like doing your taxes and wondering where in the blue fuck all that money went. Make it. Save it. Manage it. Only then can you live it.

I started working at 14, loaned my parents money for rent since they couldnt come up with it. Worked hard for many different companies, started my own business, made a good living, own my home, have a rental property, drive two decent cars, own a couple of Harleys and guess what??? Now I am making less money than I have in the past 4 years, I am going to have to sell my condo in a short sale, I am barely able to make my ridiculous nut every month and I hope every two weeks that I can make payroll for my employees. Some how, I am able to get by and the lessons from all of that have me in a place where I regret nothing, really nothing, in life so far. I just hope that what I have learned over the past 10 years or so will allow me to be financially more responsible in the future. I will say that I am happy with my life despite the fact that I can fuck it up so easily. I have a great wife and two wonderful daughters and that is the most important thing.

I was born with a plastic spoon in my mouth

You think we look pretty good together
You think my shoes are made of leather

But I'm a substitute for another guy
I look pretty tall but my heels are high
The simple things you see are all complicated
I look pretty young, but I'm just back-dated, yeah

Substitute your lies for fact
I can see right through your plastic mac
I look all white, but my dad was black
My fine looking suit is really made out of sack

I was born with a plastic spoon in my mouth
The north side of my town faced east, and the east was facing south
And now you dare to look me in the eye
Those crocodile tears are what you cry
It's a genuine problem, you won't try
To work it out at all you just pass it by, pass it by

Substitute me for him
Substitute my coke for gin
Substitute you for my mum
At least I'll get my washing done
