Deloading

I'm training for a meet in December and am really confused about deloading. BTW - I do not use steroids - I'm just asking this question because I want to know.

When training for a meet you use the last three weeks up to your meet to deload. Four weeks out is your last real workout to get stronger. At three weeks out you hit what you want as a second attempt, at two weeks out you warm up like you will at the meet, hit your opener (maybe for a double), then leave. The week prior to the meet you do nothing.

My question is this: at three weeks out you (assuming 'you' uses steroids) start using orals - both a-bombs and dbol. Knowing each of these add mass and strength relatively quickly, are you wasting your stock if not lifting balls to the wall for those three weeks? Would it be better to take these for a couple of weeks at the beginning of the cycle then add them the very last week? The last few days is a train wreck taking 300 mgs of each - especially the day of the meet. But what are your thoughts on the last three weeks of the training cycle if not lifting heavy?????

Well, first let me warn you. I'm about half finished with a bottle a wine this evening so any rambling I'll try to fix tomorrow (via the edit button)

Personaly, the only oral drug I like for the "Deloading" phase is Dbol. I don't like anadrol as a general rule. It makes me too uncomfortable just sitting around. The hot flashes, the sweats, the constant feeling of bloating, my blood pressure creeping up the back of my neck like thermometer. It's just not worth it to me.

So I basicly do nothing but Dbol and Prop at the end. I begin my cycle like any other. Test and Dbol.... sometimes Deca and in the good ol' days Tren (oh how I miss Tren) but I digress. about two weeks out from my meet I kick the oral Dbol back in and I drop whatever long esterfied test I've been running like enanthate or cyp. I completely switch to prop. Dbol I pretty much eat like candy. I usually roll about 50mg every day split into two doses. Prop I roll with 100mg-150mg EOD (might not sound like a lot but remember I've still got plenty of test in me from the enanthate or cyp. about two days before the meet I might up my prop dose to 200mg-250mg. Oh, and sometimes I'll add in a Cheque Drop about 30 -40minutes before my lift..

Deloading

First of all hello to all since I am new to board. Being new I would not even comment here except I might be able to give some info from many years of power lifting experience. Of late I don't do any AAS but in years past when I did my choice for strength without weight gain especially at the end of the cycle was test prop (Loved that Vihimone) and anavar. I never used a lot just a 10 wk. cycle of 150 mg prop eod (to avoid so many sticks) and 40-50 mg of anavar my last 6 weeks. I did not deload ever like you describe not because it is wrong just because that type deloading did not work for me. I worked heavy tripples right up to a week before the meet while backing off the assistance stuff. Then I did the deload about a week or 10 days out from the meet working only to 70% of max for a couple of sets of high reps. This worked great for me with or without drugs. Over the years by manipulating diet I have become just as strong without AAS but I still miss that feeling of power and strength. Anyway that is my two cents worth. In my opinion anavar with prop is more or as effective as dbol without all the bloat. Also I tend to follow the Sheiko type of training rather than Westside although I incorporate a lot of west side stuff into my training.
