Bad day at the Gym

SO lately i have been cutting weight so my size has been falling off and im doing dc and progressing each week becomes harder and harder too.

Anyway i have bitched about this before but i have a bad back. I have RA and sciatica and 2 bulging disks. The issues come and go Well today I was doing rack pulls, because i have not been able to do full DL's since June bc of my back and fear or re-injuring. Well i was doing pulls not even heavy using 405 on the 6th rep i felt "pop" and my back went out a numb pain that pretty much made me feel so weak all over, then to make matters worse i farted at pretty much the same time and shit my pants a little :mad: Yep bad day now i had to eat a 15mg perc and i feel like ass from that. Fun Fun Fun.

I am trying to stretch it out and putting ice and heat on it. I have a appt with my chiro tomorrow

honestly......we`ve all accidently done that before.(or atleast i have)

I have done it hang cleaning before..I dont really care about the shitting just tired of my back man. Its just too much everytime i make progress it happens and i was making good progress naturally shit!!!!!!!

You have to dodge exercises that hit your low back or you'll be fucking around forever and still end up having surgery like me.:(

The poopy part is funny.. I feel for you on the back pain. I use to go to a chiropractor years ago for sciatica,, he just made the shit worse it seemed.. Finally went to a pain clinic and got a cortisone injection,, couldnt go to the gym for a bit after that because the problem was still there, but no pain, so if I worked out would have made it worse without me knowing it, took about a month off... Havent had to much trouble with it for a few years now,, It sucks, I know.. Ibuprofen worked wonders for me,, helped way more than Narcotic painkillers.


Edit:I didnt have bulging disc though

i feel your pain...literally. i had to give up squats and deadlifts about 5 years ago. :mad: i had to give up good mornings about 3 years ago, and now my xmas tree is no more. :mad: sorry man, but souds like age is catching up with ya. oh yeah....for christ's sake, will ya take a shit before you lift! :D

Ouch man, I too have been shitting my pants all damn day...Just go out and get some man diapers! :p

As for the back, I have had a similar injury about a year ago that set me back a week of training...Just keep icing it and take it easy this week and give it some rest.

Rack pulls are bad news. Your form is for shit...especially on the first one. I never do rack pulls for this exact reason.

dont put heat on it steve. Not the first day of injury for sure. Sorry you had that experience.
With your history, i wouldnt lift anything you cant do 15 times. Not worth it bud. Good luck

Yeah it blows I think i am gonna stop using DC for awhile and do just that thick. I just turned 28 and i feel like im 60 with this shit. I am gonna do high reps light weight for a good long while, until im healed. Cant be bad to switch it up anyways

I've been through what you're going through a half dozen times. It's been two years since my last episode with this nonsense. Keep your form correct and you will be fine. Stay away from rack pulls. It's entirely too difficult to replicate the top 1/3 of your lift as when you're lifting from the floor.

Pull from the floor, keep your form tight, you will be fine.

just the thought of pulling from the floow makes me squeemish. I may try it again in a month or so, but i think im gonna pussyfoot around exercises that put strain on the lower back for that time. Plus im gonna be doing abs more to help strengthen the core

Bro, that dogg crap is just that dogg crap, i used dc back a couple years ago and it fucked up the front of my left delt for about a month. IMO dogg crap is something you do for one week , then drop it, more to shock the muscles or make them react a bit differently. Long term DC , i'm not a fan
