6.8 spc

Any of you guys have an AR chambered for the 6.8 spc? I'm thinking this is next on my short list.

ammo is not very common and it is expensive and will only get worse as time goes on. go with the .308 or 7.62x39 for a round with more punch to it then the .223/5.56. some feel is the socialists of this country continue to gain ground in power we will see firearms and ammo skyrocket 5fold over what we experienced earlier this year...how will you get the ammo you need to get through shtf situation/s that will arise in years to come?

I wanted something that would work in an AR 15 platform (smaller, lighter than AR 10). I already have 308 (AR-10) & SKS so 7.62x39 is covered.

I know you are looking for AR platform, but you ever check out the AK74? 5.45 ammo runs about 180.00 per 1K rounds. Cheap and wont fail. I love the AKs.

I've looked at them but just really want to stay with AR's. something like that may be on my list just not at the too.

I recently have gone nuts over the sks, but I really want to get a bump stock before the central government steps in to regulate them and it looks like it is either the ar or ak platforms are the only options. for me simpler is better so I think I will go the ak way, I love the looks of the ar but the old reliable ak that will run even after a mud bath makes more sense for me. I have had a mini-14 for years so I have the .223/5.56 rifle covered, and the price of that ammo is going through the roof too...glad I grabbed a little at a time for a while so I didn't pay through the nose for it.

A buddy of mine has the bump fire stock. To me it's just not worth it. I can pull the trigger pretty fast & ammo is expensive anymore. I guess it just depends on what you want to do.

I think a bump stock would be good just in case of a awol, or shtf type of situation if one has to defend your loved ones from a potential multiple attackers....and also for the fun of having a almost fully auto.
