trouble squating!!!!!!!

ok....when i go in to the squat rack, and squat down, my left knee starts hurting. if i go in to the smith machine and place my feet farther in front of me , it doesn`t hurt??????? what do you think is going on??????????????////

Might be lactic acid build up...Also try warming up longer with a different exercise. Deca will also help as well. The smith machine will place less stress on your joints bc of the inline motion.

i am confused now b/c many say you SHOULD go ass to ground on squats. What gives here

Tap it with a hammer. That is what I do to my starter on my truck and it works fine after that.:D
Must be because Smith machine is far better than regular squats on the knees.:eek:
Wrapping knees the worst thing you can do IMO. It compresses the tissues and hinders the tissues around the knee from freely sliding over one another. Only guys I ever seen mess up knees had them wrapped.
Sounds like maybe it is your forum. Maybe you don't go below parallel I am guessing? Going below parallel is easier on the knees and puts the stress more on the hips. Maybe post up a video if you can.
