yeah i kinda inferred stuff in J2DM's post. here's some clarification...
anyways, we're now officially "just friends" after years of serious dating. why you ask?
apparently i'm not the Owl Master i used to be. but i think it's mainly because when we first started dating she was 17 (yeah i know she was YOUNG!) and i was 22. we had been best friends and hookups for the year prior to that. now she's older and well... so am i. she's going to art school full time in the city and working full time to pay for tuition. i'm working myself quickly up the career ladder while also going to graduate school. basically we're busy and things are a bit different. unfortunately this busy-ness is being taken for neglect.
so we're leaving this open ended. its not the end of anything. there's no doubt in our minds we both want to grow old together. it's just that we need to take a step back and assess the situation and get the other priorities we have in our lives done.
we still talk all day and see each other every chance we get. again... before we even started dating we were best friends for a good long time. so we have a very strong foundation either way.
