Sks Addicted

okay gun guys, my older buddies coming home from Vietnam told me they did not like the 5.56 round because it was easier for Charlie to get a hit of smack then a bowl of rice. when the enemy was all junked out i had more then one of my buddies tell me they put a whole mag of ammo in em and they still kept coming. now i'm reading the kids in Iraq and Afghanistan saying the same thing that their enemy is so full of some amphetamine, they are filling em full of holes and they're not dying. i said screw this and decided to go with the 7.62x39 hard hitting round for personal defense. i know the ak is the most reliable battle rifle out there, but i came across an sks for reasonable considering the socialist republic that i now reside. damn if the sks isn't real easy to take all the way apart and put back together. i like the rifle so much and i haven't even gotten to shoot the first one yet...and i won an auction and have another Chinese sks on her way to me.

p.s. i'm going to sell my mini-14 and 20 years of accessories i have accumulated for said rifle...hell with all the shit i have to bubba it out (or not) and 3k of ammo i'm gonna ask a stupid price for it all and i might just get it with "the clown" as president.

What kind of ammo & how much? I maybe intersted. My ex just got rid of ALL my ammo! I stress ALL! Plus a ton of other shit! Over $3k in ammo alone! Not sure if the courts will make her give it back or reimburse me since it was awarded to me!

Forgot to mention I had two sks's. I sold one & kept the Chinese para trooper. They are fun to shoot & pack more of a lunch than the .223. I do love my AR's though & looked at a mini 14 a couple weeks ago. I just prefer AR 15's more so I passed on it. Yes I do mean plural when I talk about my AR's. :D

1k of Russian and the rest is brass of mostly 55 grain with a mix of 5.56 and 223 since there is on 1 mini 14 that is a singular shooter and that's the pure target gun if no mistaken takes only 223. if I do sell it bro i'm only going to sell it as a package deal to get most $ I can slime outta the deal. I live in the socialist republic od taxachussetts and cannot ship ammo. I have to go by the commie laws or they will strip me of my second amendment right in a heart beat here...the commie bastard!!!!!
ummm, yeah I got the sks fever, I have bought 3 Chinese and got my eye on a Russian...if the wife finds out i'll be in divorce court for sure. I have some irs issues at the moment and the commie's want 10k or some crazy shit like that. I am damned tempted to go underground again, if it weren't for the kids i'd declare war on the feds and join a radical militia!!:D

If you decide you want to sell the brass for sure lmk. I dont have stupid money though. :) I may even be interested in all of it and ill just re sell what I don't want. No hard feelings though if you can sell it local or what ever. Good luck on your new addiction! You may not know but it is pretty simple to make the SKS shoot "REALLY" fast from what I have been told. ;) Lmk if you have any questions on them, I may be able to help a little. I didn't get to involved in them though. You just shoot the damn things & spray a little oil on them occassionally. Very easy to maintain and keep them running, they are like AK's & just run!

yeah WallyD they are easy as heck to tear down and put back together. I got Ben Murray firing pin for my first one and it was a cinch to put it in. I just bought a 1953 Russian 45 sks this morning, and that sucker is NRA "fine" grade. man that one is sweet, I think I am going to just clean it and oil that one to keep for investment purposes. I am going to "bubba" one of the Chinese ones out for shits and giggles, and one of them totally stock. the first one is basically stock except I bought some really nice (and expensive) hi cap mags from a company in Michigan. they tig weld them so they are seamless and guaranteed for life...damn things cost $125 each. They come with an adaptor so the mags are not duckbilled. they make each mag to fit the country of sks's origin. it's going to be a fun year or so to get each rifle/carbine set up the way I want each one.
WallyD when I get the the mini-14 set up complete tactical (bubba'd out) I will post a couple pics and you can tell me if its cool...or sucks and change it back...lol!!

Oh no Juaneye I think you have caught something, an addiction!!!! Have fun with them! I don't know anyone as crazy over the SKS as you seem to be though. Nothing wrong with that but usually people pick AR, AK or any number of handguns. To each their own you know? That's what makes the world to round. They are accurate enough & durable as can be! Like I said I still have one & not sure I could part with it. I still kind of want an AK but its down the list a ways. Would like to see pics of any of them! I'm addicted too! 😄
