not what I imagined...

First I just what to say hey to everyone. Came from OLM and its really great to see know its a lot of the same people.

Just wondered if you guys experienced this when ventured to the dark side. I grew up working out like a beast. We would stay in the gym 2 to 3 hours. We worked out 4 to 5 days a week and eat like horses. Since my dad was in to BB ever since I was a kid I wanted to be big like Lee H, Mike M, Ronnie C and of course Arnold.

I am 33 was 230 when I started my first cycle with Test. Just entered my 4th wk of Test E 500 a wk, I front loaded with Dbol. I imagined a world of increased strength and endurance. I must say I have not experienced anything mind blowing. Let me first say I am not questioning the gear. I am now at 245 but my strength dropped the first three weeks. Its now higher than when I started (barely).

It just feels like my endurance took a nose dive. I can't do as many exercises before caving to exhaustion. Before I was doing 5x6 on my core exercises and 3 sets on other exercises. Now I am fighting to make it through my workouts.

Is this what its like before the test kicks in? Was I expecting too much?

Siblah, first off, welcome!
Secondly, awesome to hear that your Dad got you involved early. I am 47, been in the gym since I was 19, have a 4 year old son-can't wait till he gets old enought to train.
Did my first cycle at 23. Never have I experienced what you are experiencing. Might be because of the additional 15 pounds you've put on. Are you doing any cardio? Has cardio been part of your regular training program??
Respect,
Mike

Man, I would have loved to try it a 23! I didn't have a clue and was too scared. probably a good thing.

But yeah, I was doing cardio up to the start of my cycle, then went to weekends only. I had worked up to an hour on the elliptical keeping my heart rate at 160 - 170.

When I started the test, I could feel my bp bump up. Thought it was test flu due to joints ached and felt like shit physically the first week. I also had bad night sweats. Mentally felt absolutely great. I've been taking in 4000 to 4500 cals in regularly, about 35% protein. I am wondering if my body doesn't like the BA? My friends can't figure it out either. Bp spikes every now and then but is usually around 125/ 70. Never done test before so don't know if it this brand or what.

Did you say you gained 15 lbs in 4 weeks and are not having to spend as much time and energy in the gym as you did before to maintain your strength, which has actually increased, but that you are not satisfied with this cycle so far?

What were you expecting bro? (I am not trying to dick with you, just curious.)

Also, welcome to the board!

Wow, that does sound odd, 15lbs and not what I expected. Weight gain is nice, but not everything.

We all love to lift otherwise we wouldn't be here, on these forums gaining knowledge from each other. I started the cycle and within a couple days my WO weight dropped on all compound movements, not by a little either, 50 lbs or more on some exercises. So yeah, huge mental blow there when your trying to do keep the diet in-line and working out hard and suddenly you become weaker and endurance takes a dive. I was hoping my WO weight would simply grow along with endurance due to the Test and Dbol. The weight gain is great and should go up some I just wish I could feel it. A few friends have told me what to expect and over the years I have heard people talk about it but I just haven't had those experiences. Like your strength just shooting one day and you can actually feel it. You guys know the feeling when your in the zone pumping those reps out and feeling it every inch of the way, feeling the burn and pump! I may have put 15lbs on but I feel flat.

I came down sick yesterday and am wondering if that's what it could have been? I love working out and as long as I can I will. Maybe when I get better I may feel it. Like I said, just not what I imagined.

I wasnt trying to be a dick and I apologize if I came across that way. Maybe you are tired because you are growing! I remember in high school during puberty when my hormones were raging, I had to come home every day and take a nap. I was just tired from growing.

Or maybe it was because you were getting sick, or whatever. I do know when I'm juicing and growing I get way more tired. I do not get more energy like some suggest will happen. Freaking weird huh?

Again, sorry if I came across as if I was dicking with you. I wasnt.

Your body is 15 pounds heavier, of course your endurance is going to be different.Your body has to work alot harder now. It will catch up over time. Sounds like your cycle is well on the right track. What more can you ask for? Steroids isnt really a easy way out. You still have to work hard or even harder.

Bigun, your cool, you didn't come across wrong. I am just frustrated.

In the past, before I thought I knew what I was doing, I did a winny and Dbol "cycle" separately and made good gains but lost nearly all of it once the cycle ended. At least now I know why that was. But even then my strength and endurance never dropped.

Strongarm, maybe your right. I'll just wait it out and see.
