i saw fleetwoodmac in 1976 at folsom field in boulder co when stevie nicks was a young piece of ass, bob segar was there with the silver bullet band. it was an all day show, can't remember who else was there but it was rockin day for sure....could'nt have been all the booze and drugs that make it hard to remember most of the day though i'm sure.

1976 was a damn good year. I would trade 3 years off my life if I could go back to 1976 for just a month.
You would think music would get better with time, but there really no new bands that float my boat. Maybe ive got too old or didnt change with the times:confused: . Other than try and find decent new music I will go back in time and try and find vintage bands that i have over looked. Nothing like listening to a old song and it takes you back in time to what you was doing 25 years ago, that is priceless to me.

The people left that i wana see live are The Who , Bob Segar , Tom Petty , The Eagles , Fleetwood Mac, Danzig ,Deep Purple, Ronnie James Dio and of course Led Zeppelin.

I wish that I got into Thin Lizzy when i was young because they are my favorite band. Since Phil Lynott is dead then I will never get a chance to see them live. The same with Jimi Hendrix.
The best live concert i seen was The Rolling Stones but hell,,,any band thats been aroud for over 40 years should be good live. Stevie Ray Vaughn was also great live, I got to see him twice. I still remember the first concert i ever seen at age 8 and that was Hank Williams Jr.

i think every generation loves to listen to the music of our youth, brings us back to the carefree days when we had little responsibility, but yeah i like all those rock-n-rollers too. i saw the Eagles in 78 at folsom field also, it is a cool place to see a show, the stage was always set up so you could see the mountains in the background behind the band playing. i kinda hate to see those people now......looking at them reminds me of how old i'm getting. :( i saw the Who in boulder, the Stones i saw them twice in colorado, first time in 75 when they were in their early 30's, so they could still kick ass. i saw them in boulder in 81, and George Therogood and the Destroyers stole the show. the crowd brought them back for 4 encores, finally George T said "hey if this were our show with the way you folks are treating us we'd jam all night, but we gotta go. they tore the house down, i have always loved that band since then. wow, i have'nt thought about this stuff in years, thanks for the stroll down memory lane brother!

Bro I use to love Thorogood, great showman. What turned me against him was because he was a dick. I got backstage passes for a meet and great after one of his shows. His band is cool as hell and since I knew they were big baseball fans I talked with the drummer for at least an hour, since sports and music are my favorite two things. Well George finally comes out of the showers to the backstage area and dont say shit to nobody there and jumps on the tour bus. The drummer is cool enough to go on the bus and get me a autograph but I still think he could have stayed around for 10-15 minutes, but didnt and stayed on the bus for a hour till they left.

IDK, maybe he was just in a bad mood but hell... If not for the people who pay hard earned coin for his recocrds and shows he wouldnt be shit.
I have always had good luck about meeting musicians and most are down to earth, but the ones on the ego trips and bad attitude makes it hard to enjoy there music as much when you know there true personality.

i'm surprised to hear that about George T, he seems cool when he's on stage...course he is a pro show man, and knows how to play that up.
