Basically Your Going To Have Potential To Lose Muscle Size If You Make The Mistake I Did, And Do Any Sort Of Hit Cardio, Much Less Hiit Like I Did (running About 3-5 Miles 6 Days A Week).

Though If You Keep Your Cardio Proper And Follow The Diet To A "t" Ketones Should Actually Be Muscle Protein Sparing, According To The Literature And Feedback Alot Of Naty Guys Give.

I've Been Aas Free For A While, And I Feel Like The Only Mistake I Made Was Too High Intensity Cardio, Had I Not Done That, I Feel Like My Not Being On Any Aas Wouldn't Have Cost Me Much Muscle On This Diet.

Bottom Line As I Am Sure J2 Or Other Competitors Would Agree, Your Going To Lose Alot Of Water And Glycogen In The Stored Muscle, This Will Have You Looking Alot Smaller And Flattish' But Its Temporary.

I'm on a targeted keto diet (tkd). I don't know if I ever reach ketogenesis, but I know that I burning fat slowly while preserving muscle. I slowly dropped my carbs over about a month though as to not shock my brain. I get about 20g's of carbs a day on non-workout days and 40 on workout days. The extra 20 comes from some blueberries added pwo.

I spend Saturday and Sunday relaxing and eating without counting calories. I don't eat shit though, but I do relax and will allow one shit meal if I want it. I gain about 10lbs over the weekend and then piss it all out by Tuesday morning. I seem to come back more ripped after the water from my carb-ups drops off.

I've always used it for competitions. It's also known as the "Maximum Definition Diet." Nothing but meat, fish and eggs for three (3) days straight, then on the fouth day, have one (1) high carbohydrate meal to replenish your glycogen reserves....keep cycling it that way. And no protein shakes as J2DM pointed out.

This diet is not for the faint-hearted...you can't lose sight of the goal for an instant or you'll hop right off it.

BTW....after a show, in three (3) days I'm usually up 20 lbs.

Ive done it, I think it works great. Most people I know talk about how fast you gain back fat,, but if you keep on top of it you can keep it off.. Get some keto test strips from a pharmacy,, you pee on them and it tells you if your in Ketosis or not.. My biggest problem wiht the diet was I would feel antsy at night and would have a difficult time sleeping.. Works fast though if you stick to it.

I finally got a strong positive on the keto strip, but only because I was a little dehydrated and my piss was yellowish for the first time in a while. If you drink a lot of water like I do, the keto strips will not work.

When your piss was yellow, was it your first piss of the day (after waking up for the night)?

I would assume as the day goes on, you are drinking lots of water and the piss turns water-white...and then the keto stick does not register(?)

LMK...thanks, TenMan

Always Use Ketostix Upon First Thing Waking Up. Its A Good Baseline And Its Less Inaccurate That Way, As Well As Its Usually Going Ot Be Around The Same Time Of Day, Assuming You Wake-up About The Same Time Most Days Like I Do.

BY DOING IT THE SAME TIME EVERYDAY YOU TAKE SOME VARIABLES OUT OF IT.

Sounds like a good, consistent plan. I was asking cause I'm kinda thinking that maybe state of ketosis is greater during the night (while sleeping) than during the waking hours. Kinda along the same lines as how the muscles recuperate during the night more so than during the day...also, how the body seems to eliminate water better during the night than during the day (well, that may not be a good comparison since you don't drink water during the night and you have longer stretches between pissing when you are asleep).

Thanks, TenMan

New hype? Isn't this basicly the Atkins diet except you fast the first 24 hours?

I think this diet has been around a long long time. I remember about 6-7 years ago everyone was doing this diet to lose weight.

I use ketogenic/no carb dieting when i want to drop weight(usually in the form of water) fast. It works well. Plus, when else do you get the excuse to eat sausage for breakfast? :D
