Just Lost My Job...

I was just terminated as of a half hour ago...I did mortgages and in my state it is required that you have a brokers liscense to originate loans...My company was audited and although I'm in the process of getting my liscense, I don't currently have one. Now my boss said she can't pay me $10k commission I have coming to me over the next 3wks...I honestly do not know how I'm going to live now...This fuckin sucks!!!!!:mad:

Shit bud, sorry to hear that. That's bullshit that you wont get paid the 10,000, that's real low of her to do that. Bad damn timing with the contest coming up. Can't offer much, but if you need anything, hit me/us up...I'm sure we can help out some.

Thanks I appreciate it...I'll have to figure something out to bring money in...geeezzz...The messed up thing is that after this week I would have had enough to retain a lawyer to file a chapter 7...ughhh...Somehow I always find a way, I'm sure I will, just gotta stay positive and focussed...Thanks for the support fellas!

Christ what is going with everyone losing my job getting a raise, I got promoted cuz I bang my boss and I am poor and cheap damn,,,,,
J2D so your mortgage broker I wish I knew I would have gave you some great leads if your licensed and heavily involved in big commercial properties he only works with 5mil and up imagine how he charge for origination fees at least NY state require up to 4.99 on the front and Florida 7.99 point. Anyway, you could always lend another job with the mortgage business trust there always opening.

I was already filing for Chapter 7 before I lost my job now I don't even have enough to retain the lawyer for it. I was in over my head with credit cards and had a period of time that I was unemployed and was throwing my mortgage payments on credit card. I was on track to make $80k this year, no bullshit, I really would have made at least that. SO I was gonna bank money for the next 6 months before I get kicked out of my house and start over somewhere else...Doesn't look like that will happen...DAMN THIS FUCKIN SUCKS!!!

J2d you respond quickly and get another job before you go down hill sale the house if you can or rent it until you get back on your feet.
Chapter 7 is not the way to go my friend,,,,

I have wayyy too much debt, I was filing before I lost my job. I can't make the money I was making anywhere else, When I got this job, I stepped into a goldmind...It was pure luck and timing. My expenses per month are $5500 just to live...I just can't do it anymore..My house was listed for over a year and listed at 392k, I owe 360k so after real estate commissions I wouldn't make a dime and thats if I sell it for full price. This just really came at a TERRIBLE time. I listed some extras on here as to make a few extra bucks to retain a lawyer for the BK. The only other jobs around here I can get would be for damn 8 bucks an hour. I don't know what else to do....:confused:

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought you were able to keep your house and car if you file Chapter 7. I know there were new rules put in place....

This may be your best bet to explore at this point. I would think a decent lawyer / firm would be able to work out a payment plan.

Depending on your state...you should be able to collect unemployment...which should help you out more than you think. You could even find some under the table side work to supplement the UE.

Try to think positive (eaiser said then done)....but things always work out in the end.

Yes you are correct, in a chapter 7 I can exempt my car and house but my mortgage is $3500 a month, I want them to take the house and that means I can technically live here for the next 6 months or so until the foreclosure is done. I just can't do the payments anymore especially now with no job...

I'm positive bro, I've made this far and whats life without some challenges...lol...I just wish life would stop throwing me all these damn challenges, especially when I'm dieting for 2 shows!!!:mad:

yes he could keep his house but he owes 360k on a house that isnt worth near that due to the market. Will they rehire you if you get your license? Is it legal for them to withhold the commision?

She said that "we will talk when you get your liscense". It was not legal for her to pay me to begin with so I should not have gotten paid to begin with. She's getting hit with some fines and her liscense is in jeapordy so we really didn't talk about me, as she was all fired up about this audit...I'm hoping she calls me next week after 1 or 2 closings and talks about compensating me under the table...I really hope that happens but I'm not holding my breath...

And you're right about the house, thick knows my situation quite well.

j2d, u might want to consider your legal rights on this termination as well. Never know but worth a shot. Hopefully u can get your license fast and it will be a moot point

reminds of some funny shit. When i was a kid my mom substitute taught at our small school and she didnt have her teaching license yet lmao. Gotta love small towns. She now has her masters but at the time she only had her 4 year degree and than started spitting out a couple of stud kids:cool:
