Issues with my son.

Well the guys that know me know I have had issues with my son over the last few months. He is 3 years old and it seems he has grown over 12 inches in the last year and already has pubic hair. (I know its crazy)..

Well after taking him to Duke Medical center multiples times they have diagnosed (sp?) him with a over active Adrenal gland which releases GH into your system. If this is not treated he is on track to be over 7ft tall and well over 300 pounds.

Now some might say - shit he will be the next "Bigshow"- well heres the problem. His bones are not growing at the same rate as his body is and he is already complaining that his joints (knees/arms) are hurting him. it will only get worse if not treated.

According to his pediatrition it is not rare (some young girls at the age of 4-5 have breasts already).. They can regulate it threw medicine, but to me hes just a healthy kid.. I guess my question is - has anyone of you guys ever heard of this?

Tech I remember you have mention your stats before your stand at 6, 5" 275lb, Do you think he has the same Gene?

Im very sorry to hear this.

I have seen documentarys on adrenal gland disorders on Discovery.

Also seen it on a talk show once. So your probably right about this not being uncommon. With treatment your little will be just fine.

Sorry to hear about that bro, I wish I knew more about the subject but I'm like Wylie...Just seen documentaries about it. i wish you and the fam lots of luck though!

Thanks guys- and M- I am 6ft 5 and 248 right now.. This has been a little hard on my wife and her stress is my stress. SO I have not been eating real good lately. Just did not know if maybe one of you guys has ever heard of this..

And M- he still will call you a poopie head when your sorry ass calls...

They have not told us yet what kind he has??? Should I be asking this- I know you are in the medical field, but do you have any contacts that has ever treated this?, keep in mind my wife works in ICU,MICI,SICU so she does not see these kinds of cases.

You forget to mention that the kid is smart also cause Freaky is a poopie head.

But serious ive heard about what your talking about and i think its the same thing that the wrestler Andre the Giant had. I'd try some web searches on Andre the Giant and see what kinda treatment he had done.
But im realy sorry to hear this about your son that he will not be able to have a normal childhood, who knows the way technology has came along in the last 10 years there maybe somekinda treatment out there.
Either way i wish him and your faimly the best of everything in dealing with how life can be so unfare at times.

Tech I am so sorry about your kid, always ask you have the right to know everything and it’s always important to get a second opinion especially medical issue.
I will see what I could do on my end.

Sorry to hear about your son. Personally with something like this I'd go get a 2nd, 3rd, and then even a 4th option just to make sure..then take it from there.

I'm actually a big fan of Andre. He did didn't go to a Dr. until later in his career (while in Japan) . He was then diagnosed with acromegaly and was told he probably wouldn't make it past his 40th Birthday (he lived till the age of 46). At that point he decided to do nothing about it. ...basically the reason why he drank so much through out his career
