I'll be damned!

today is a sad day at the juaneye household. our 21 year old little kitty died last night. my wife had this cat for about a year before we started doing the horizontal bop, in fact my wife saved the cat's life. she was the best little furry friend a human could have, most reliable workout partner i ever had. the damn cat never missed a day going to the weight room with me in the last 17 years.
she stopped eating about 2-3 days ago, so of course i knew yesterday was her last day on earth. i dug a 4 foot deep hole yesterday and made a cross with her name on it. i got up early today and went to her bedroom and found her passed on, so i wrapped her in her bedding and put her in a thick paper bag. the wife heard me going out the basement slider so she knew something was up. i hate to see my wife cry, and our girls woke up too and then i had all 3 of them crying...broke my heart as i'm sure you all can imagine.
i'll be damned! i'm gonna miss that little kitty keeping me company while i workout at 5 in the morning. i was starting to think the damn cat was going to out live me. we're all kinda glum today, the little furry critters sure do become part of the family don't they? my girls have never known life with out "Ginger", very rough on them. i was never a cat person, but this one was a one in the life time kind of pet...21 friggen year old cat, hard to believe ain't it?

I was never a cat person until I met my current GF. She had two cats that are more like dogs, they play and fight and drive the three dogs we have nuts. Can be hectic but I know if anything were to ever happen to them it would be a long while till things got back to normal. I am a dog person more so than cats but they are interesting and funny to be around. Sorry for your loss and it never gets easier, good luck buddy!

I had a little dog for several years untill it finally got hit by a car...it's funny how we can get so attached to an animal...I'll never have another pet.

I grew up with a schnauzer that didn't seem to know he's a dog. I mean he's always near my mother, walks and sleeps like her too. he brought alot of laughter to the family. he lived til 16 years old.
