high white blood cell count

I recently had some blood work done and my WBC came back a little high. the doc said that last year it was normal. now he wants me to see a hematologist.
my wife who is a nurse seems to think that I had the bloodwork done too close to the time of taking an injection, and the WBC count came back high due to my body reacting to a foreign substance. it's the only reason I can think of.

Reasons for increased WBC are numerous. Hematologist is probably overkill but if it was near your injection could be the cause. To be safe you need a blood draw when off cycle. Also if you have the actual WBC count that would be helpful. If the hematologist wants to do a biopsy you need to come clean about the AAS use.
