A few years ago (I think I told all you meat heads) I was playing in a very succesful east coast show band. You guys would have loved it, we goofed on the 70's music, gay costumes and everything.
Anyway we were playing this huge club in Jersey. We had a warm up called "Kid Rock" That's right it was them. Imagine that, they warmed up for us.
Long story short, they were on the road just to get ready for their real tour.
Kid Rock says to me, "Dude you guys were awsome, come with us to Detroit, you can go on tour with us" We were like yeah, yeah, yeah, this guys on drugs. Ya see in the music biz everyone says "we're going on tour next week"
The next week I'm flippin through the TV stations and on MTV there's fucking Kid Rock on the beach in Fla. FUCK!!! We were kicking ourselfs for months!!!
Any fucking way, they were great that night with us. Joe C. was still alive, and their drummer was a 300lb fat black chick with a blonde afro, who was probably one of the 10 best drummers I have ever seen.
