Finally Got A Win!

Long and awaited but well worth it...I took first place in Novice LW division out of 11 competitors. I came in much harder this show than last and beat out one of the guys that beat me last week. The open was a different story, I placed 4th and actually 2 of the guys that beat me in the open, I beat in the Novice The judging was confusing and I didin't know how I can beat 2 guys in one division and then in open the same two beat me. But hey, I'm glad to finally take a Win in the novice so thanks for all the great advice I got from you guys here and support, otherwise I doubt I would have done as well as I did.

Special thanks to package for hitting up both my shows back to back weekends and VC for making the show 100x more fun and exciting!

VC, you really should have placed in the top 5 but judging was clearly off that night and I definately feel your frustration, hope you had fun anyway and don't let it get you down just use it as fuel to train harder.

Thanks fellas, yeah I am going to give the head judge a call tomorrow...I actually just watched the video today at my house and it's not even close the two guys that beat me in the open...I'm telling you that it is crazy and I would be embarassed as a judge to put them in those places. I believe that the number 1 guy is the only one who respectfully beat me. He and I were chatting backstage and thought for sure it was between the 2 of us, Hell, VC I'm sure is pissed too...He should have placed in top 5 over at least one or two of the guys. VC had the 2nd place dude that beat me in the open beat. I will try and get the vid from my father and you guys can have a laugh at this 5'6 157lbs guy who wasn't even conditioned that beat me...I'm not joking, those were his stats...wtf???

I'm telling you guys right now, J2TM is one of the cooliest guys you will ever meet. This cat couldn't be anymore helpful if he tried. I drove 2 hours one way to the weigh in and two hours back home. I had just met him and he was already offering (damn near insisting LOL) to put me up in the hotel and have his girl pro tan me (which would have been totally worth it BTW ).

It was great meeting Package as well. A real down to earth guy with a lot of knowledge in the sport.

My Wife, daughter and myself had such a great time that I barely noticed that I didn't place.

On that note, I'm not too upset. Should I have been in the top 5? Maybe, who's to say. I do know that I weighed in at 165 and I looked damn good at 165. I stepped on stage at 162. Fact is I'm just too small and I need more mass to compete. I don't think I embarrased myself by stepping on stage so I really don't mind. Sure I want to win, but boy did I have the crowd going with "Burning Love" by Elvis! That's what makes this fun; meeting great people like Package and J2TM, hamming it up on stage and hoping you don't get beat by PANCAKE (J2TM can explain that one )
