Fell off diet and look even better?

So i am only about a month out from my show and this past weekend, i fell off the diet, it only should have been a cheat meal on saturday, but it turned out to be a cheat weekend.

i gained a total of about 9 pounds since friday morning till sunday night. tonight, i looked at myself and i am vascular as hell, full, and look much better than i have all diet

what the hell. i was very worried, but now im glad i did it.

my diet has been very very low carbs (pretty much 0), rotating my fats in and out all week and high protein.

anyone else ever have this happen to them while dieting? cheat like crazy, but end up looking damn good?

throughout my whole diet, i have stayed very full, and not flat like most would be on this type of diet, and my strength is still very strong.:confused:

I believe your seeing a "junk load effect" , meaning there are some BBer's that use this as a form of carb loading before a show , not sure what you ate but i've read things like pancakes with butter, or icecream, pizza, white starchy carbs, eggs, (simple carbs) there are many varities and foods, basically it's a carb load if your on "stuff" you have a better chance of this working without spilling over , a natural could not load like this, . i assume you've been on a lower carb diet, so you glycogen stores were low so this is why you pushed out and got vascular.

Basically what you did was loaded your body up with nutrients it wasn't getting before. You mentioned your carbs have been low and BAM you throw in a shitload of carbs and your muscles look nice and full and the veins are bulging. The only problem with this is that I'm sure some of the foods that you ate slowed down your metabolism...You will not gain fat in just 2 days but rest assure that you can set yourself back by binging like that, really will just depend on how your body reacts...But once I start binging after my shows with all types of food I look so FREAKIN full and vascular and bloated in the stomach. Your a month out, its crunch time so no more weekends like this past one!! ;)

not sure why you would use fats and not carbs.....
this is pretty much Polumbo's diet plan that he uses with his athletes. my friend used Dave P as his coach a year ago and came in super shredded.

this is the plan that he has me on. last time i dieted i used a carb rotation type of diet, so this is way different than im used to.

i promise J, no more weekends like this past one.

it is cruch time. this is where its the hardest for me, i see the changes my body is making and i think im ahead, or right on point, then i start to slip a little thinking im all good

then i find myself behind. no letting up, kicking it into 5th gear now

There's your first mistake, thats why you were flat. Carbs need to be SLOWLY lowered over a period of time. The goal is to be ripped but with full muscles and carbs are needed for that....................11

11, thank you for the response, but you mis-read, i HAVE stayed very full throughout the diet. surprisingly, i have talked to several peeps about this, and the ones who have dieted like this, have gotten flat, but a few just like me, have not.

i have stayed full because of the fats that i rotate in and out all week long.

This might be true , but i bet your abs aren't in enough and are you sliced up?, like 11 said, the carb reduction is what will rip you up, rotating fats without carbs is not a winning combination.

Yeah I agree...we all are different but through my experience I get better results keeping my carbs low to moderate 150-250g and my fats around 50-70grams. You can even rotate 2 or 3 low carb days at 100g and one high day at 300g. Just a thought but being that you are so close to the show its hard to play with things now.

i see your point. very valid point. my abs are NOT in enough like you said, its true.

but like juice said, im about a month out so i dont know if its a good idea to deviate from the plan. i might screw myself over if i do so dont you think?

Shit man, enough with the dilly dallying sheeeit...Post up a new thread with some pics of your mandatories, then post up what your diet has looked like over the past 2 months and what your plans are for the next month...Lets get crackin on this!

again, you have enough time to get better, tighten you up and lose some of that fluff your holding, lets see some pics, get crackin on this asap , enough dilly dallying! lol
