Current diet*

Hey guys, Ive posted a couple pics in the picture section...and here is my CURRENT diet.

My main goal lately has been to put on size, and just simply grow. So my diet isnt the best, by far.

* 1.5 gallons of water a day *

Meal 1. 8-10 egg whites, 2 cups of oats.

Meal 2. Protein shake; 600 cal, 60g protein, 3 tsp. Olive Oil.
Fruit salad with cottage cheese.
Meal 3. 8 oz. chicken breast , 1.5 cup brown rice. 1 Cup of broccoli.

Meal 4. 3 cans of tuna mixed with olive oil. Wheat bagel w/cream cheese. ( I know , i know...lol )

Meal 5. PWO Shake - 60 g protein, 100g Waxymaize, 5g creatine. 600 Cals.

Meal 6. 8 oz. chicken breast, 1.5 cups of brown rice. cup of broccoli

Pre Bed time Shake...600 - 800 cals , 60-80g protein, minimal amount of carbs as possible.

---One thing...Pre-work out I like to drink a straight complex carb drink...is this ok ? Or should I keep it to post work out only ? I have always done about 80g complex carbs pre, and then 80-100g complex carbs post....

I retain water and hold onto fat easily. Through out the day I also snack on bagels with peanut butter...I really have just been stuffing my face for awhile now, and have been paying for it. Over the past year ive put on alot of weight, and not all was needed. But I still want to grow...I need to really clean up my diet and stop the bullshit. By bullshit I mean , when im hungry ( because I always am...) I will stop and get a few crispy chickens from McyDs or something , ya know ?

Well thanks for any advice...i really appreciate it.

Meal 2- Ditch the oil and just have protein shake with water-No fruit salad or cottege cheese.

Meal 3 chicken, broc and 1 cup of rice

Meal 4 2 cans of tuna with olive oil and 1 cup broccoli

Meal 5 PWO shake with 50g of waximaze (this will eventually be cut out)

Meal 6 Chicken and 2cups broccoli

Meal 7 - Casein Protein shake with 2 tblspoons of Natural Peanut Butter.


****ALL shakes are made with water just FYI

Your carbs and fats have been too high so I cut some of those out and added in extra broccoli and not sure what kind of protein your taking that is giving you 600cals but finish up what you have and go out and get straight up whey protein. No more bagels and french fries! lol...Can you tell me more about what is in your pre-workout shake? Make sure to do 30 mins of cardio 3-4 times a week.

My protein shakes consist of usually 2-3 scoops of straight whey, with 1 TBsp of PB, and 1-2 cups of milk. That's where it got me, the freakin milk is killer, ( whole, all the time )

Pre-workout shake consist of 80-100g of waximaize, which comes to about 480 calories, each scoop contains 40g waximaize and 160 cals. Any opinion on this ? What would you recomend pre workout ?

Again, thanks a lot for the help. I'm pumped about gettin this goin. And yes, nomore fries and bagels, ah man I love to eat ! LOL

Say goodbye to the milkman!!! The PB is ok for now but use sparingly as you tend to eat quite a bit of fat even though it may be good fat. Now on just use 2 scoops of whey...Use 40g of the waximaze for the next 3wks and then we will analyze your gains and tweak the diet a bit more. This diet layed out for you has cleaned up the mess you had...As time goes on we will fine tune it, but the key is consistency!!! You must not miss a meal and get a hold of some casein protein for your bedtime shake. I'm excited for you too bro, Go ahead and ask shaq how exciting it is to actually start your diet and see abs you have not seen in years! It's a tough road and not everyone can diet and compete so best of luck and definately keep me posted on your success!!!

Yeah I use white or brown...Switch it up...But Freaky is correct, white is higher in glycemic(sp?) carbs.

Dude, I can go for some freakin taco bell!!!!!:D

Ill grab some casein and start on that diet laid out- this coming week. Fresh start.

When you delve into a strict diet as suggested the body usually responds highly pissed off in the beginning with some ungodly cravings. I set a cheat day up in my meal plan. I keep my cheat meals on the healthier side as much as possible. Big buffalo burger on a whole wheat bun, scratch pizza made with turkey, fat free cheese on whole wheat crust or a big bowl of yogurt ice cream w fruit, etc.... Just something to keep me sane and curb the cravings. If my cheat meal day rolls around and I have no cravings, I keep to strict diet. I always plan my cheat meals on my day off and one day before a squat workout. Psychologically, I convince myself the extra carbs from the cheat meal, if I have one , will bring my intensity up at the rack...:D

I will deffinitly be looking forward to the cheat meals. By the way the cheaters you listed above sound good, shit that's kind of stuff I eat now!

I'm lookin forward to the physcological warfare that will be takin place with a much stricter diet.

So Freaky, should stick with white or brown rice? Or switch it up from time to time...

I have always used brown, and thought it was better....fill me in !

Oh and by the way, I hate this! I miss my bagels with cream cheese and peanut butter! And MILK ! ;)

Thanks for the motivation dude. I do enjoy cleaning up my diet, I always enjoy good discipline. Especially now since I have a goal, I finally decided to pick a show. October 11th, that's what I'm aiming for....:) wish me luck.
I'll be sure to keep you guys updated !

Hey Preacher, if my calculations are correct, this diet consists of ABOUT;

Calories: 2900
Protein: 450
Carbs: 155
Fat: 37

I feel as if I need more calories. I'm snacking on almonds during the day, so this will add a few more calories, atleast a few hundred. Also snacking on natty PB...not too much but just to get a few more proteins and cals.

How does this look guys ? Should my cals be up ? I am about 20 weeks out from my show....and I feel these cals are too low for this far out. Am I off or what ? Feel free to chime in .....

CLA is your best friend in that situation ... i take about 4-6gms daily when i go on diet and it helps curb the hunger down a bit. Good Luck bro, that fine tuned diet is going to do wonders for you.

Yes I have, for about a week and a half now. I feel good, got real pissed after a few days of not eating some things that I usually do, but its getting better....LOL
