Any computer experts?

My backup laptop crashed (hard drive). I reinstalled it and everything is working fine, except that I have no sound. It says that I have no audio device? Does this mean that I don't have the correct drivers installed or could it be that the actual audio device is fried?

Dito, just depends on which one you have andwhere to find the drivers at. Your laptop should have came with them but they are easy to find as long as you know what your looking for.

I'm thinking it may be a driver issue as well. Here's some more info that may help. When I go into Sounds and video properties it says "no audio device found" On my other computer where the sound is fine, it says "Realtek high de. audio device".

So should I go to the realtek site and try to download this?

I went to the Realtek homepack and downloaded the "High Definition audio driver". Thankfully that was all I had to do.
