everyone always says, what would you do with a million dollars. you can buy houses, cars, shit, anything you want really

but what would you do with $100.000? cant retire on it, could go on some good shopping sprees, cant buy a house, cant buy even a lambo, but still a good amount of money that is given to you, what would you do with the money seriously, the first 3 things you would do with $100,000

for me i would

--- save $20,000 in an account for my childs education
--- give $30,000 to my parents to pay towards their morgage
--- pay off student loans\debt $30,000
--- take $10,000 put it towards a down payment for new house
--- save $10,000 in our savings account.

-Take 5k for "me"

-Consult a few business peoples I know on where to invest the remaining 80k so that it will pay me back every week.

Oh, and with a million, I wouldn't buy shit! That's why people win the lottery and end up broke. If I had a million bucks handed to me, I would take that aforementioned 20k(15k on bills and 5k on me) and then take the remaining 980,000 to a bank where I could convince them to give me 7% or more in interest and then I would live on the resultant 50k after taxes and be set for life no matter what.

Or, even better, find a way to invest the million in a business or something that will yield WAY more than 50k a year.

I would buy cheap multi family homes fix them up and get max rent for the area. This is good as if you get 7 low cost homes you can get 300-400 bucks per month, and in the long run thats a lot of cake. Tennessee has very cheap homes in nice areas.
