What keeps you motivated?

Keeping up the habit of working out every day is tough for most of us. What are some ways you keep yourself motivated to hit the gym on your off-days?

Seeing guys that I'm no where near{Myosaurus, BigChuckie, guys like that...freaks...lol} Coming off my first show I'm super motivated to make improvements...It gets even tougher when there is kids in the house, and things to do for them, but you just got to make it an "essential". Training is like work to me...I do it regardless if I feel like it or not.

Ha! I feel EXACTLY the same way! I have 3 young children and it can be EXTREMELY difficult to get ANYTHING done! LOL

How many shows have you been in?

i don't compete but i always workout and i'm always in pretty good shape - barring severe illness...:( i'm fortunate because i don't really need motivation for it. it keeps me straight, like a prozac of sorts. if i don't workout i really feel 'off', physically and mentally. over the years, regardless of schedules and job demands, i've always made time for the iron.

That's true too! Exercise does more than just have physical benefits - the mental benefits are pretty awesome too!

I just got back from the USA's last weekend and spoke with a few guys that competed and placed in top 10...That is motivating for me...I've been more intense and stricter on diet than ever since I've come back... The goal of winning a show is what motivates me! :D

Personally speaking, my motivation is constantly having to run after my 3 young children! LOL I don't know what I would do if I couldn't keep up with them!! Not only am I doing this for myself, but for my family as well. I plan on sticking around for a very long time!

A few things. My job is one, its physically and mentally demanding and I NEED to stay strong and in shape. Family is another, seeing my step-father get eaten away by cancer pushes me to get in the gym and make my body the best it can be. There's a lot more that goes into it but that's the short long of it.

The picture of my fat ass when I was 12-17. No more. Don't wanna go back to that ... Got big again back in late last year before getting back into normal gear and regiment and hated myself for months...

... Just wanna be the biggest mother fucker in each place I walk into... I want people to say damn when I walk in ;)

That motivates the fuck outta me.

The greatest man that ever walked this earth passed away recently from cancer in my family. I know how you feel and carry that burden on my shoulders every day. I miss him beyond words could ever imagine. He was my life. He was my grandfather.

.. On a lighter note, that Nikki pic is hot as hell, not a fan of her but boy I'd love to have 2 mins alone with her naked in a room.

Just got back from being a lazy prick for a week in Mexico. Hopefully I'll be hitting it today, got some jet lag or something going on though.
