Stick it in, pull it out.

Flip her over.

Stick it in, pull it out.

Takes 9 months to cook, but when done you have a homemade tax write off.

Preference of dark or light meat varies from chef to chef.

I like putting in beef, black beans soy beans letting them cook for 3 hours or so to soften up, its also best to let them sit in water over night, softens them up. after 3 hours at a low temp i add beef chopped up lean sirloin or sirloin tip and chicken breast. add in some pepper and sea salt or mineral salt, do not use table salt. 20 minutes before the stuff is done... oh you need to let the meat cook for 1 1/2 hours, but 20-30 minutes before that time is up add in your onions raw chopped garlic broccoli carrots and any veggie you like, this will keep them a bit hard and crisp, this way they do not lose there vits and fiber. basically you can slow cook any thing just make sure its all healthy stuff you put into it. total cooking time is 4 1/2 hours but the last 20 minutes you should crank the heat up a bit and uncover. you can also sear the meat before you put it in to give it a bit more flavor.
