Quinoa

I had a trainer at my gym suggest I start eating quinoa in place of brown rice and I love it. Figured I would share...it is a complete protein, low glycemic index, high in fiber, all around good complex carb. You can get it at costco or online.

Have any of you guys eaten this before?

I have utilized quinoa in my diet in the past and I admit, it's not too bad. The only downside for me is how damn long it takes to prepare. Because of that, I tend to stick to old fashioned oats and pre-cooked sweet potatoes during the week.

I haven't tried it reheated yet but if it tatses good the second time around I will make a bunch and store it. I agree on the sweet potatoes....I bake a bunch, take the skin off and weigh out what I need when I am hungry.

i use quinoa, red quinoa, millet and wild rice in place of brown rice and amarynth in place of oatmeal in the am. i've been following this eating plan for several years now due to health reasons and it's been amazing. i get all the energy minus the bloating and insulin spikes. it's a great way to eat, given our lifestyle, and i would highly recommend it to all the bros on here.

I use many of the sources you referred to but have also been utlizing ezekiel bread quite often recently. extremely low GI and very little affect on blood sugar. I'll often take several pieces and soak them in egg beaters. throw a little salt on them and put them in the pan and make french toast. ill top them with no sugar added jam and eat some more eggs along side of it. Good stuff!
